1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of DoneNow (donenow.ie) — an Irish marketplace connecting people who need everyday jobs done ("customers") with local independent workers ("workers"). By creating an account you agree to these terms and confirm you are at least 18 years old.
DoneNow is operated by Alexandre Juan B Hanly Brion, a sole trader based in Ireland, trading as "DoneNow" (33 Shannon Gael, Carrick On Shannon, Co. Roscommon, N41 X5V2, Ireland). In these terms, "DoneNow", "we", "us" and "our" refer to that sole trader. You can contact us at info@donenow.ie.
2. What DoneNow is (and is not)
- DoneNow is a platform. The contract for the actual work is between the customer and the worker — DoneNow is not a party to it and does not perform the work.
- Workers are independent contractors, not DoneNow employees or agents. They set their own availability and decide which jobs to claim.
- We verify workers' payout identity through Stripe, but we do not certify their skills or supervise their work.
3. How jobs and payment work
- A customer posts a job for free with an agreed fixed price. It is immediately visible to nearby workers.
- When a worker claims the job, the customer pays the agreed amount by card. The money is then held in escrow by our payment provider (Stripe) — meaning it is held safely and the worker cannot receive it yet.
- The worker does the work and marks it done. The customer then confirms, and the payment is released to the worker. If the customer does not confirm within a few days and no problem has been reported, we release it automatically.
- The amount shown when posting includes DoneNow's service fee. The fee is deducted from the worker's payout and both sides see their exact figures before committing.
- Card payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe's processing cost for each payment is deducted from the worker's payout at exactly the amount Stripe charged — DoneNow passes this cost on and does not add to it. The precise figure for each job is visible in the worker's earnings once the payment clears.
- Payouts reach the worker's bank account via Stripe. Workers must complete Stripe's verification (identity + bank details) before they can be paid for a job.
4. Cancellations and refunds
- A customer may cancel a paid job any time before a worker claims it — the payment is refunded in full to the original card.
- After a worker has claimed the job, cancellation is no longer automatic — report a problem instead (see Disputes below).
- Card processing fees on refunds are absorbed by DoneNow during the pilot.
5. Disputes
- If something goes wrong, either side can open a dispute from the job page while the job is claimed, in progress or completed.
- While a dispute is open, the job's payment is frozen — it can be neither released nor refunded.
- DoneNow support reviews the details from both sides and resolves the dispute: releasing the payment to the worker, refunding the customer, or closing it without money movement. Our resolution of the payment held on the platform is final.
- This does not limit either side's statutory rights against each other.
6. Reviews
- After a confirmed job, both sides may review each other once. Reviews must be honest and based on the actual job.
- You can edit or delete your review within 24 hours; after that, contact support.
- We may remove reviews that are abusive, fake or unrelated to the job.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Take jobs or payments off-platform to avoid the service fee
- Post false jobs, fake reviews or misleading profile information
- Harass, discriminate against or endanger other users
- Post jobs that are illegal, unsafe or require licences the worker does not hold
- Attempt to breach the platform's security or scrape its data
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
8. Liability
DoneNow provides the platform "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the quality or outcome of work arranged through the platform, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the service fees we received from your transactions in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Irish law.
9. Your account
- Keep your login details safe — you are responsible for activity on your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
- We may update the platform's features; material changes to these terms will be announced before they take effect.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to them.
11. Privacy & contact
How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy. Questions: info@donenow.ie.
