1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember things between visits — logins, preferences, or tracking identifiers.
2. What this site uses
Three kinds. Strictly necessary: one cookie that keeps you signed in to your account. It is set only after you log in, it is not used for tracking, and the site cannot work without it. Statistics: Google Analytics, which tells us which pages people use and where they give up. Advertising: the Meta Pixel, which lets Meta measure the ads we run on Facebook and Instagram and show them to you again elsewhere.
The last two are optional and separate. We ask before setting either, you can allow one and refuse the other, and the site behaves exactly the same whatever you choose. We do not sell what we collect. Our other visitor counter (Vercel Web Analytics) is cookieless by design and reads nothing from your device (Vercel privacy policy), so it runs whatever you choose.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| sb-…-auth-token | Your sign-in session (strictly necessary). Set only after you log in; not used for tracking. | Until it expires or you sign out |
| _ga | Google Analytics (optional). Tells apart one visitor from another so a visit is not counted twice. Set only if you press Accept. | 2 years |
| _ga_2E8954402T | Google Analytics (optional). Keeps the state of the current visit. Set only if you press Accept. | 2 years |
| _fbp | Meta Pixel (optional, advertising). Identifies this browser to Meta so our Facebook and Instagram ads can be measured and shown to you again. Set only if you allow advertising. | 3 months |
| _fbc | Meta Pixel (optional, advertising). Remembers that you arrived here by clicking one of our ads. Set only if you allow advertising, and only after such a click. | 3 months |
| dn-cookie-consent-v2 | Your answers to the cookie question (strictly necessary). Stored in your browser so we do not ask again. Technically local storage rather than a cookie; listed here because it is set for the same reason and you should know it exists. | Until you clear your browser data |
3. Choosing, and changing your mind
The first time you arrive, a bar at the bottom of the screen asks about statistics and advertising. Reject all and Accept all sit side by side, the same size, and both settle it in one tap — refusing is meant to be exactly as easy as agreeing. Choose what you allow opens the two apart, so you can say yes to one and no to the other. Nothing optional is loaded before you answer: not the cookies, not the scripts that would set them.
To change your answer later, press here or at the foot of the home page. We forget your earlier answer and the bar asks again. If we ever add anything else non-essential, this table will be updated and we will ask again before setting it.
Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited. What Google does with the data is described in the Google privacy policy, and you can opt out of it across every site with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
The Meta Pixel is provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. If you allow advertising, it tells Meta which of our pages you opened and whether you registered, posted a job or finished a worker profile. What Meta does with that is described in the Meta privacy policy, and their ad settings are at Meta Accounts Centre.
