How we sort workers

This page explains the order workers appear in, in the list beside the map on our home page and in the workers list inside DoneNow.

When we know where you are

On the home page, if you tap Use my location or search for a town, the nearest workers come first. Inside DoneNow, Use my location does the same; otherwise we measure from the area on your own profile. Each worker is placed on the map to within about a kilometre, so a distance is close but not exact. Workers at the same distance follow the order below.

When we don’t

Without a place to measure from, the list runs in this order:

• Workers with reviews, the highest rating first.
• Then workers with no reviews yet whose profile has a photo and a description.
• Then everyone else.

Where two workers are level, whoever used DoneNow more recently comes first.

What does not change the order

Nobody can pay for a higher place. DoneNow has no paid or promoted positions. The identity tick does not move anyone up or down, and neither does offering services as a business or as a private person.

Search and filters

A category or a search word changes who is in the list. It does not change the order.
