How does payment work?
Posting is free. Workers offer to do your job — at your price or one of their own — and you choose the one you want. You pay by card when you accept them; the money is held safely by Stripe and only sent to the worker after you confirm the work is done. Nobody can touch it in between.
What does the service fee cover?
DoneNow charges 0% commission during our launch period. When it ends, a 10% service fee will be included in the job price and deducted from the worker's payout. Card payments are handled by Stripe, and Stripe's processing cost (about 1.5% + € 0.25 plus VAT for European cards, more for UK or international cards) is deducted from the payout at exactly what Stripe charged — DoneNow passes it on and never adds to it. The precise figure for each job is shown in Earnings once the payment clears.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — cancel any paid job before you've accepted a worker and the full amount goes back to your card automatically. Once someone is on the job, open a dispute instead and support will resolve it.
What if my worker forgets to mark the job as done?
You can close it yourself. Open the job and tap “Work's done, pay …”, then confirm. That ends the job and sends the payment straight away, exactly as confirming would. Only do it once the work really is finished — payments can't be undone.
Can I book the same person every week?
Yes. Say how often the job comes round when you post it, and when it's finished you'll see “Book the next visit” on the job — same details, same price, straight to the person who did it. They accept, you pay, and we hold the money as usual. Nothing is booked or charged automatically: every visit is a job of its own that you set off with a tap, and we'll remind you a few days before it comes round.
How do I get a job as a worker?
Open a job and offer to do it, at the price posted or one of your own, with a line about how you'd do it. The job stays open while the customer decides, so other workers can offer too — and you can take your offer back any time before they answer. You'll get an email either way.
How do workers get paid?
Workers verify their identity and bank details with Stripe once (a few minutes, inside the app). After the customer confirms a job, the payout is sent to their bank account.
What happens in a dispute?
Either side can report a problem once a worker is on the job. The payment is frozen while our team reviews both sides and the chat, then it's released to the worker, refunded to the customer, or closed by agreement. Both sides see the written resolution.
Are workers verified?
Every worker completes Stripe identity verification (photo ID + bank account) before they can be paid. Ratings and reviews from real completed jobs are shown on their profile.
Where does DoneNow work?
Anywhere in Ireland. Post a job at any address and workers nearby will see it. The more people join in your area, the faster jobs get picked up.
